Karen Jones becomes latest Youthbuild UK Trustee

Redrow Homes Group Head of HR joins Youthbuild UK as a trustee.

Youthbuild UK is pleased to announce that Karen Jones became the latest appointment to its board of trustees from 1 November 2023.

Karen, who has been with Redrow for over 25 years, leads on their Valuing People strategy, which is one of the businesses’ three strategic pillars. She has made Redrow a leader in the field of training and recruitment and ensured the company kickstarted successful construction careers for many hundreds of school and university leavers.

She was a CITB trustee for four years and chaired the HBF’s Careers Committee for more than a decade, and is also on the board of the HBF’s Expert Skills Panel.

In September 2023 Karen’s leading role in the industry was recognised with a Lifetime Achievement award at the Women in Construction Awards. Karen said: “I’m honoured to have won the Lifetime Achievement award. Throughout my career I have always worked to better the opportunities for others entering the construction industry and I’m so privileged to have achieved so many of my ambitions with Redrow.”
