Knighthood for Youthbuild UK President

The Trustees of Youthbuild UK are delighted to announce that our new President, John Hayes, has been awarded a knighthood – many congratulations Sir John!
The 2018 Finalists with John Hayes
Sir John created an instant rapport with the finalists at the 2018 Awards Ceremony, when he re-iterated his beliefs in the importance of vocational training and giving opportunities to disadvantaged young people.

Youthbuild UK are delighted to announce that Zinnia Young of Centrepoint/NEAS from Sunderland was chosen as the 2018 Young Builder of the Year.
Joshua Smith of Bradford College/Archway from Bradford was chosen as the Winner of the 14 to 18 year old category.
The results were announced at the Awards Ceremony held at the House of Commons on Wednesday 17th October 2018 and are as follows: –

New Judge for the Young Builder of the Year Awards

Youthbuild UK are delighted to announce that Martyn Price MBE, Workforce Development Director of O’Halloran & O’Brien has agreed to become a judge for the Young Builder of the Year awards.
He brings a wealth of experience, from beginning his working life as a carpentry apprentice to being Chair of the Cross-Industry Construction Apprenticeship Task Force, and fully understands what is required to become a successful young builder.
