2014 Young Builder of the Year Awards Launched

Rt Hon Nick Raynsford MP, President of Youthbuild UK launched the 15th Young Builder of the Year Awards today, 6th May 2014.

He said “I’m delighted to launch the 15th Young builder of the Year Awards to celebrate the achievements of young people, who despite having to overcome a range of barriers have succeeded in training for and or gaining employment in the construction industry.

This launch is timely, following as it does on the recent call from the All-Party Parliamentarians’ Inquiry No more lost generations, for a major expansion in training and employment opportunities for young people in construction.

The finalists will be invited to the Awards Ceremony on Wednesday 15th October 2014 at the House of Commons, when I very much look forward to meeting them.”
